During branding season the entire cavvy is brought in to camp every afternoon and lined up on the ropes. The cow boss will then slowly and methodically catch horses for all of his cowboys to ride the following day. To witness such a thing in the middle of the Sage Brush Sea, hours from civilization, is a sight one can never forget.
