The barrier to entry for the sport of basketball is one of the many things that make it so great. Unlike other elitist sports, in basketball, with a little creativity, anyone can play. Over the past 15+ years of photographing hoops, I’ve seen them made out of just about everything, which is a powerful testament about the game and people’s desire to enjoy it in any form possible. Sure, the fancy store bought hoops are nice to have, but a DIY hoop in a setting like this tells a priceless story about American ingenuity.

About the prints: all prints are made with a white border to make framing easy with or without a mat.
