For over 15 years I’ve been photographing basketball hoops across America - weathered backboards in empty lots, handmade rims in alleyways, and lonely hoops standing tall in quiet fields. These aren’t just relics of the game; they’re symbols of resilience, creativity, and the love of basketball that lives far beyond the bright lights and sneaker deals of the worlds most famous arenas.

From our countries biggest cities to towns so small they don’t even show up on a map, these photographs celebrate the game’s place in everyday American life.

Sunset Basketball Hoop - Vibrant Sports Wall Art

It’s incredible what falls in your lap sometimes when you’re on the road. Maybe that’s the wrong way of putting it, but I found this hoop one day in a small southwest town simply because of hunger and the need to take a break from driving. The sun was setting under a beautiful sky, and that was as good a reason to stop as any. So I pulled over to make some food with a view and was gifted with this old hoop and a classic Arizona sunset.

This photograph frames a basketball hoop silhouetted dramatically against a glowing Arizona sunset. Bright enough for design-focused décor, yet deeply rooted in basketball culture, this print elevates spaces with bold color and timeless appeal that’s perfect for both home and office.

About the prints: all prints are made with a white border to make framing easy with or without a mat.

In my opinion there is no better medium to print and display fine art photographs on.
