I grew up in Albany, and for a long time I didn’t think much about its buildings. They were just there—looming, familiar, part of the background of daily life. It wasn’t until I left and started coming back with a camera that I began to see the city differently.
These photographs are shaped by that distance. Made in fog, winter light, and quiet moments, they look at Albany’s architecture the way memory does—partial, restrained, and a little unresolved. The Capitol, The Egg, streets and civic spaces appear less as symbols and more as forms that have simply endured, watching generations pass through them.
This collection isn’t about nostalgia or civic pride. It’s about recognition. About noticing what stays with you after you’ve been gone awhile. Each print is produced with care for collectors drawn to understated architectural photography and images that feel lived-in rather than staged.
