After 10+ years of visiting and photographing traditional barbershops in all 50 states of the USA, this is still one of my favorites. Not only will this photo get better with age, I can’t get over what a story it tells, about a man that dedicated his entire life to the craft of barbering. For 50+ years Tony served the community of Greenwich, Connecticut, all in this same shop which became his second home. And the customers that frequented his chair were like family. It’s heart warming to see him cleaning up after a long days work because you know there isn’t anywhere else he’d rather be.
