When I moved to San Diego (Pacific Beach) from Upstate New York way back in 2006, Lefty’s became my barbershop right away. The place has a great vibe, not just because of the current owners, but because it was a barbershop far before they took over. Those years of history can’t be faked or duplicated. Since that first cut it’s been a trip to watch the shop and it’s barbers grow. Lefty’s seems to be a breeding ground for top notch barbers, a lot of which go on to open up their own successful shops in other parts of the country. That says a lot about Lefty’s and the standard they set. If you’re ever in San Diego, schedule an appointment at their original Cass Street location. You’ll get a great haircut, cold beer, and entertaining conversation.
